Dumas Station 2012 The Excursion Syrah (Walla Walla Valley (WA))

A new release from this winery, this aromatically intriguing wine conveys blueberry, dried herbs, flowers and cigar box. The palate shows good concentration and intensity to the sweet, succulent blue fruit flavors that linger on the finish with barrel notes. The wood gets a little out front but hopefully it will integrate more with time. Sean P. Sullivan
