This is the artist label Syrah; impenetrably black, richly scented and intriguing. The fruit is tart and has a citrus edge, but more noticeable are the scents and textures of spices—clove, pepper, cayenne, a bit of fennel and ginger. The longer it breathes, the smoother and more interesting the flavors become.
