Dunnewood 1997 Reserve Sangiovese (Mendocino County)

Opens with a toasty, cherry-fruit nose, and herb accents. It's not as sweet as some California Sangiovese tends to be. There are some nice spicy cherry flavors, but the oak buries the modest fruit.
