Dunning Vineyards 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Cabernet Franc Meritage (Paso Robles Willow Creek District)

Crushed blueberries, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, fudge and fragrant lilacs show on the very inviting, floral and jammy nose of this blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Red plum and black cherry arise at first sip, followed by a sandalwood-laced boysenberry and cedar character that are framed by tart acidity and a soft tannic structure. Matt Kettmann
