Dry, oaky aromas suggest sawdust, hickory smoke and spice along with raspberry and cassis. The palate is round but a bit hollow in the center. Flavors of jammy berry fruits, black cherry and cassis get buried in waves of hickory. It finishes creamy, dense and ripe. Drink through 2017.
