This is 70% Merlot with the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Though the oak (American and French) is only 35% new, it's still at the fore with notes of vanilla and coconut along with cherry. The flavors are sweet and rich with chalky tannins and the alcohol shows.
