Dutton-Goldfield 2015 Deviate Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

Deviating from its usual path of single-vineyard designates, this wine blends grapes from the Jentoft Vineyard in Green Valley with the coastal Putnam Vineyard near Annapolis. Relatively thick, oaky and tannic at first, it offers robust black fruit and complex texture, followed by handfuls of baking spice and supple intensity. Virginie Boone
