86pointsE. B. Foote 2001 Chardonnay (Columbia Valley (WA))

Aromas of match stick along with pears and apples get it started. Citrus, mostly lemon, carries the palate, which is fresh and properly weighty courtesy of bracing acidity. The finish is long, with some vanilla notes. Best served well chilled. Once the wine warms it loses some of its freshness. Michael Schachner
