E16 2017 Doctor's Vineyard Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands)

Baked raspberry and cherry make for a very plush nose on this bottling, which also benefits from brown spice and a hint of roasted meat on the nose. The palate is simultaneously plush and tense, combining ripe wild strawberry flavors with a spicy backdrop of star anise, mace and dried ginger, popping with a Sichuan peppercorn sensation on the finish.
