Aggressive on the nose, with big, nutty, roasted aromas of grilled meat, animal hide and tomato leaf. It's dark in color but a little burnt and clunky in terms of flavor. Fruitwise, it's dominated by dark berry, but the underbelly is herbal. Good enough to drink casually, but with some clarity and balance issues.
