Easton 1997 Zinfandel (Shenandoah Valley (CA))

Lots of sharp-edged oak around a soft, plummy, chocolate-covered cherry of a wine. Smooth and easy-drinking, up to a fairly tannic finish. The acids keep everything in balance. Paul Gregutt
