Easton 2020 Zinfandel (Amador County)

Editors' Choice

This wine shows complex, intricate layering of aromas and flavors. It conveys red and black cherry, red and black plum, crushed roses and violets, turned earth, cinnamon and clove spices, plus just a hint of barnyard. Corduroy-like tannins coat the mouth while an elevated level of acidity ensures freshness and vibrancy throughout the tasting and into a long finish. It's enjoyable now, but the wine has definite aging potential. Stacy Briscoe
