Eberle 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah (Paso Robles)

Opens with the beautiful scent of well-ripened Cabernet grapes, with intense aromas of blackcurrants and cassis, as well as a pretty overlay of toasty vanilla from oak. The flavors are impressively deep and ripe, but the wine suffers from excessive softness.
