Whiffs of charred nutmeg and smoke accent bright, cutting blackberry and cassis in this full-bodied yet delicately structured Pinot Noir. Generous and mouthwatering in fruit yet lifted and spry, it's an expression of Charmes-Chambertin that's approachable young compared to most other grand cru Pinot Noir. Feathery in tannins, this lilting wine will likely hold through 2035 at least. Anna Lee C. Iijima
