Edouard Delaunay 2018 Grand Cru (Corton)

A kiss of dark chocolate accents black-cherry and plum flavors in this velvet-textured, supple expression of Corton. While firmly anchored against a backdrop of stony, bracing minerality and bristling acidity, the open black-fruit flavors and sweet, lilting spice notes make this approachable sooner than most grand-cru wines. At peak from 2025 through 2035, the wine will likely hold further. Anna Lee C. Iijima
