Eichinger 2014 Stangl Roter Veltliner (Niederösterreich)

All the mellow ripeness of late summer greets the nose. Ripe, zesty red-cheeked and yellow apples combine with stone fruit and lemony freshness into a rounded, supremely balanced and concentrated wine made from rare, indigenous Roter Veltliner. Yeasty texture rounds out the freshness. Birgit Eichinger once again shows her talent for expressive white winemaking. Anne Krebiehl MW
