A most subtle and shy nose wants to give nothing away. It is on the palate that the lemony concentration strikes, holding tight to its inherent pepperiness. A riper notion of Mirabelle stirs with more air, but it is the zesty lemon and the white pepper at the core of this tightly coiled wine that draw you in. The finish gives a glimpse of the spiciness that is in store with bottle age. Drink 2025–2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
