Eight Bells 2017 Eight Clones Red Willow Vineyard Syrah (Yakima Valley)

Editors' Choice

One sniff and the vineyard is unmistakable. Aged in mostly neutral puncheon, it brings aromas of scorched earth, roasted coffee bean, dark plum, raspberry and toasted marshmallow. While the aromas might indicate a richer wine, the palate shows the sleeker style of the vintage. It captures the site, variety and vintage exquisitely. What more could one ask for? Sean P. Sullivan
