Eisold-Smith 2014 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This complex, already ready Pinot melds flavors of fruit, root, spice and earth in a bold, almost over-the-top style. Blueberry, root beer, cola and soft leather components come into play, with a dried-cracker character as it resolves in the back of the palate. Best for near term enjoyment. Paul Gregutt
