This offers oak and mocha aromas, recalling char, leather, blackberry and green herbs. It's a five-grape blend that includes 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and in a cold year like 2014, that translates to angular acidity and heavily herbal plum and berry flavors. Decanting or long airing can only help this rugged amalgam. Drink through 2025. Michael Schachner
