Elias Mora 2009 Crianza (Toro)

Charred oak, maple, tobacco and berry aromas are full and clean. The palate is solid but not so polished and smooth that there's no edge to things. Flavors of mocha and leather support core black-fruit notes, and then vanilla rushes in on the finish and takes over. Drink now through 2014. Michael Schachner
