Elton is a new label under the Willamette Valley Vineyards umbrella, though the vineyard has been a favored designate for the past decade. This latest release falls a little short. The barrel flavors of buttered nuts have a slightly oily mouthfeel, and the apple and orange fruit is only moderately ripened. It seems to promise more than it delivers, given the packaging and price.
