A lovely hint of lanolin and stone plays on the nose of this wine. The palate, still closed, comes in with concentration that seems to hold an almost oily richness despite the sinuousness of the body. Gradually, notions of ripe pear appear, edged with lemon freshness. This wine is understated, quietly powerful, beautifully elegant and dry. Drink by 2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
