Emiliana 2006 Coyam Red (Colchagua Valley)

Powerful, rooty, deep and dense on the bouquet, but with the slightest herbal note. The palate is tight and mildly tannic, with ready cassis, berry, plum and oak flavors. On the finish, you get a rebound of that slight herbal/green tinge along with vanilla, mocha and length. Fine wine for sure, but maybe a step short of the excellent 2005 Coyam. Michael Schachner
