Emilio Moro 2000 Crianza (Ribera del Duero)

Chunky and ripe, with natural leather and barnyard notes along with a bit of surface-sitting oak. The palate is jacked up and exciting, with deep black fruit, firm tannins and plenty of length. The finish is long and wide, with a burnt flavor note. Big-time verve and kick should maintain its following. Michael Schachner
