Emmanuel Darnaud 2017 Au Fil du Temps (Crozes-Hermitage)

Heady layers of cocoa, cinnamon, anise and bramble intensify ripe, roasted black plum and cassis flavors. Matured in oak barrels for 16 months, it's a voluptuous, ample wine edged by fine, supple tannins. Ready to drink now but should maintain through 2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
