Emmerich Knoll 2017 Ried Loibenberg Smaragd Riesling (Wachau)

An intense nose that blends dried lemon rind with Mirabelle also insinuates sun-warmed stone. The palate, firmly framed and corseted with that lemon rind freshness, is generous and juicy but settles into a taut conentration that holds pith and peel of ripe and dried lemon in equal measure. This is pristine and bundled, driven and bold. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
