Emmerich Knoll 2017 Ried Schütt Smaragd Grüner Veltliner (Wachau)

Yeast, white miso and white pepper combine into a savory nose. The palate, with smooth, almost oily flow, presents a compact, concentrated body, tingling around the edges with that salty pepperiness, and revealing layer upon layer of yeasty depth. Saltiness and gentle freshness make the mouth water on this muscular, powerful but elegant wine. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
