Emmerich Knoll 2017 Selection Ried Pfaffenberg Riesling (Niederösterreich)

A hint of reduction and a spicy note of crushed herb appear first. What follows are hints of orange rind and ripe Mirabelle. The palate immediately hits with its pithy concentration that sets a pleasantly bitter accent to this taut but resonant wine. The finish is all about mouthwatering tangerine zest, ripe and appetizing, tangy and dry. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
