Emmerich Knoll 2018 Ried Schütt Smaragd Grüner Veltliner (Wachau)

The most subtle tone of crushed yarrow blends with a hint of lemon on a very shy, almost closed nose. The palate comes in with insistent, concentrated freshness that draws you into a deeper, fresher, cooler core of citrus, crushed herb and fine yeastiness. There is something mouthwatering, zesty and fresh that lifts this up way beyond the ripe, warm vintage. Lovely now, certain to evolve. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
