Encanto 2013 Roble Mencía (Bierzo)

Smooth, oaky aromas of blackberry, tobacco, raisin and spice get this off to a good start. This is a bit gritty and edgy on the palate. Flavors of blackberry, plum, raisin, hickory and nutmeg are oak-based, while a savory tasting finish carries rough tannins and a roasted quality. Michael Schachner
