Erath 2005 Juliard Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

This seems very dry, thin, leafy and tannic, upon entry. It tastes like green tea, with cranberry and wild cherry fruit. It's not a simple wine by any means, and it will probably flesh out with some bottle age, for the complexity is there in the aromas and in the length. The 12.5% alcohol is quite unusual by New World standards. Paul Gregutt
