Generally ripe, clean and fresh. Smells pure and spicy, with blackberry aromas setting up a crisp palate. Tastes a little herbal as do almost all Chilean Merlots, but the berry fruit and spice elements are uncompromised and uncomplicated. A likable value Merlot.
