Errazuriz 2016 Syrah (Aconcagua Costa)

Jumpy aromas of iodine, foxy berry fruit, green herb and gamy meat are all over the place. This Syrah from a rain-plagued vintage feels wide, grabby and tannic. Gamy, herbal berry flavors finish minty and oaky. For a tough El Niño year, this is good, but that's it. Michael Schachner
