Estampa 2005 Reserve Assemblage Carménère Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Red (Colchagua Valley)

This three-grape blend runs heavy on the Carmenère, and overall it's got more color and aromatic promise than results. The nose is round and sweet but the palate doesn't match it; it tastes tangy and short, and there's a raw feel coming courtesy of jagged tannins. Michael Schachner
