Big and burly at 14.5% alcohol, with blueberry, blackberry, fudge and earth on the nose. Very ripe and heady, with sweet fruit flavors and a ton of oak. Nothing wrong whatsoever, but it locks into a place and doesn't budge. As a result, complexity is lacking. Michael Schachner
