Failla 2017 Chehalem Mountain Vineyard Chardonnay (Chehalem Mountains)

A sure-fire crowd-pleaser, this fresh and textured wine fairly zings with bright flavors. Apples and white peaches are in the mix, and 10 months on the lees has given it a lively mouthfeel. Just 10% new French oak barrels were used, enough to begin to round it out. Drink now through the early 2020s. Paul Gregutt
