Failla 2018 Chehalem Mountain Vineyard Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

This single-vineyard bottling is 10% whole cluster fermented with native yeast and minimal (10%) new French oak, allowing more subtle components to appear. The red- and black-cherry fruit is beautifully framed by darker, earthy but ripe tannins, bringing black tea and savory herbal phenolic flavors streaking through the finish. It's a showcase of exceptional, fine-tuned winemaking by Ehren Jordan. Paul Gregutt
