This wine starts off a bit reserved in character, though with time it reveals aromas of baked plum, cherry and blackberry coupled with licorice, tobacco leaf and light char, as well as a hint of pressed violet. It's bold and flavorful on the palate, where the aromas carry straight through to the lingering finish, shaped by velvety tannins and lingering earthy spice tones. Lauren Buzzeo
