Some reviewers liked it much more than this final score indicates, and some liked it much less (this 88-point average really is just that--the average of vastly differing scores). To some, the nose was mute; others found roasted blackberries, vanilla and graham cracker aromas that they liked quite a bit. Though all reviewers recognized the wine's blackberry, white-peppercorn and anise flavors, they differed on whether the palate also showed milk chocolate, coffee or cream cheese highlights. Finishes long and firm, with tannins and a slight metallic bite. One to evaluate with friends.
