Faiveley 2003 Domaine de la Croix Jacquelet (Mercurey)

Shows the torrid vintage character in its aromas of chocolate fudge and flavors of dark plum and chocolate, but doesn't go off into raisins or prunes. Finishes with coffee and dry toast notes that should eventually integrate. It's a big, bulky, tannic wine that might improve over time. Joe Czerwinski
