Under the watchful eye of leading Portuguese oenologist João Portugal Ramos, this blended wine adds Cabernet Sauvignon to a blend of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. The Cabernet changes the nature of the dry Portuguese tannins, giving a very firm, dark wine that has brooding intensity under a polished surface.
