Familia Schroeder 2007 Malbec (Argentina)

Sometimes price is not indicative of a wine's overall quality, and this appears to be a case in point. The nose is dry, cheesy and overly oaked, and the palate is downright screeching with acidity, so much so that there's a sour flavor and scour to both the palate and finish. Too much tartaric acid? You bet! Michael Schachner
