Farmer's Leap 2013 Shiraz (Padthaway)

At over seven years of age, there's still plenty of freshness in this wine. There's also a bit of a sweaty funk on the nose, but it doesn't overpower the cherry and soft spice aromas. The palate is a touch sour and synthetic, with chewy, drying, rather unforgiving tannins, and balance is never quite reached. Christina Pickard
