Fattoria La Lecciaia di Pacini Mauro 1999 Brunello di Montalcino

Aromas of tree bark, damp earth and leather are not what you'd call pure and polished. The flavor profile has its issues, particularly a vegetal streak. However, there's also good berry notes and a solid feel. Not bad overall, but playing in a tough league. Michael Schachner
