Sens is this producer's homage to Syrah in a pure, unoaked form, and the 2016 offers luminous blackberry and raspberry flavors perfumed by swathes of lilac, rose petal and olive. It's a juicy, vibrantly fruity wine lifted by crisp acidity and framed by fine, taut tannins. Best now–2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
