Bronze color topped by a beige head. Opening aroma is fresh, malty and off-dry; time in the glass adds subtle notes of hops and breakfast cereal. Palate entry is dry, toasty and more hoppy than malty; by midpalate, the taste is astringent, hinting slightly of lead pencil or metal. Finishes intensely hoppy, lead-like and bitter. Drinkably average but after liking the bouquet so much I expected more satisfaction from the taste and finish.
