This is a delicious, deep and brooding wine that holds back just a bit on ripeness and spiciness to bring attention to black fruits, black tea and forest-floor nuances. An elegant texture of fine-grained tannins and nervy acidity give it a rare balance. Best through at least 2028. Jim Gordon
