A good example of how Chardonnay can work in Paso Robles, this bottling from a high-elevation site is fresh, bright and tightly woven on the nose, with aromas of ash, mandarin, lemongrass and spring flowers. The palate is quite racy, with acid-driven flavors of lemon and lime rind as well as fresh grapefruit flesh. Matt Kettmann
