Ferraton Père et Fils 2017 Lieu-Dit Bonneveau (Saint-Joseph)

Lavish aromas of vanilla bean, chocolate shavings and clove adorn this rich, rounded Syrah aged 12 to 14 months in oak (10% new). It's a decadent, glossy Saint-Joseph but balanced neatly with pert acidity and lingering hints of fur, smoke and cured meats. Approachable in youth but bold enough to drink well past 2030.
